My neighbor decided she wanted new bedroom ideas for her 3 bedrooms to be redecorated and knowing that I love doing things like that, she asked if I would mind doing the job for her. The only thing she said was that she wanted the three rooms with new duvets, cushions curtains, lamps and either rugs or throws. So, I went to the only place where I knew I could get everything and still save her a ton of money, ASDA!
She wanted different themes in each room, so I went with rustic, countryside, and floral.

RUSTIC DECOR
I decided to do the master bedroom in a rustic theme so, I went with the GEORGE HOME 100% COTTON WHITE PINTUCK KING DUVET SET. It has such an elegant and calm look to it. I made the bed become the center of attention in the room and this duvet makes it feel like a safe haven place to relax. It is made of 100% cotton and has a 180 – thread count.
The cushions I chose for the bed throw pillows are the GEORGE HOME HONEY GIRAFFE CUSHIONS. I ordered two of them for either side of her bed and it brings a splash of color to the bed. The warm, honey color gives the entire room a coziness to it. The cushion has a bohemian style tassel trim that goes great with the rustic look I’m trying to create. This wasn’t quite enough for the bed so, I placed a GEORGE HOME JUMBO CORD CUSHION – HONEY in the middle of the other two cushions. This one is a bright honey with a bold texture that livens up the room.
I wanted a set of curtains that would match the cushions on the bed so, for this I went with the GEORGE HOME HONEY TEXTURED WEAVE EYELET CURTAINS. These curtains are fully lined and has a woven texture design finish. They have round eyelet hooks to make fitting easier. You can get these curtains in different lengths and they are sold only in pairs. Their honey colored weave matches perfectly with the bed cushions and brings just a little rustic color to the room.
To go with the honey color rustic theme, I decided on a rug that matches the rest of the colors. I got the GEORGE HOME SUPERSOFT RUG. I love this rug as it brings just a touch of color to the floor area. It’s so soft and thick that you can sink your toes into it.
To put the finishing touches on this room I added the GEORGE HOME RATTAN TABLE LAMPS. These lamps for the bedside tables are the ones I thought best had the rustic look I was needing. It has an almost woven look to it and can either be kept on the tables or hung up.
There was one more decoration missing, I wanted something on the wall. I came across this beautiful GEORGE HOME CIRCULAR BAMBOO MIRROR and it was the perfect piece to add to the room. This mirror has bamboo trimming all around it for a natural rustic look.
COUNTRYSIDE DECOR
The first guest room I picked a country theme for it. I love the blues and grey that go with the country theme. So, with these blues in mind I knew the duvet i wanted. It’s the GEORGE HOME NAVY TARTAN PRINT REVERSIBLE DUVET SET. The navy blue in this duvet is what gives it such a country loo. It has a bright blue trim around each navy square and is quite simple yet beautiful. One side has the large print squares, and the other side has the small print. It’s made of 100% brushed cotton; it is reversible and machine wash and dry.
For the cushions I wanted a beautiful match but not exactly the same colors as the duvet. So, I found this GEORGE HOME GREY CHECK PRINT CUSHION that is in a lovely light grey checkered pattern with a deep charcoal grey mixed in and I bought two of them. These cushions are firm with soft material. Again, I decided I need a third cushion to go in between these two.
So I chose something that had a dainty, yet country look with the GEORGE HOME WHITE RABBIT CUSHION. I love the contrast between the two different types of cushions, and it gives the room an even more country look. The rabbits on the front sitting in a meadow is just so charming. The gold lined edging that runs all round the cushion gives it a quality look.
I needed to find some curtains that had as close to the blue of the duvet that I could find and what I came up with was the GEORGE HOME INKY BLUE TEXTURES WEAVE EYELET CURTAINS. Absolutely perfect! These curtains were a wonderful addition to the room. The blue is almost as dark as the navy blue, just a little lighter. It comes with these chic eyelets that slide so easily onto any curtain pole.
For this room I decided to forgo the rug and add a beautiful throw blanket to be folded at the end of the bed. I chose a throw that fits in with the country theme perfectly. It’s the GEORGE HOME CHECK SHERPA THROW that comes in a light grey and shade of pink with a checkered pattern. It adds some texture and warmth to the room.
To top off the country look to this room I have decided on a lamp that’s color is hard to tell if it’s navy or charcoal grey which is exactly what I’m looking for. This is the GEORGE HOME GREY TRIPOD TABLE LAMP and what a beautiful lamp it is. Instead of a solid base, it’s a tripod (has three legs). This lamp looks a lot more expensive than it really is. It’s small and gives the room a romantic environment. Perfect for those date nights.
FLORAL DECOR
The last room I wanted to do with a flower theme. Something girly. While searching the site I came across this lovely duvet called the GEORGE HOME FLORAL GARDEN EASY CARE REVERSIBLE DUVET SET – KING. This is such a charming duvet with the colors of green, pink, brown, white, yellow, and grey. It’s eye – catching blooms on it that are just so cute. It’s reversible and can be machine washed and dried.
For the cushions for this bed, I chose the GEORGE HOME PINK STRIPED CHENILLE CUSHIONS. I love the pink and grey striped pattern and it makes the pink in the duvet just pop. I chose two for this bed. The fabric is Chenille, and it is machine washable.
Now to bring out the grey in the duvet I went with the GEORGE HOME CHARCOAL BLACKOUT CURTAINS. These curtains keep your room nice and dark while you sleep, and they create a private yet warm environment for your bedroom.
To go with the pink chenille cushions, I decided to add the GEORGE HOME PINK CHENILLE THROW. The pink in this throw matches exactly to the pink in the chenille cushion so it looks great folded at the end of the bed. It’s a soft and warm throw to cuddle up with on the bed and read or watch television. It has a tassel trim that adds to its beauty.
To finish off the room I went with two of the GEORGE HOME ROSE GOLD TABLE LAMPS. These lamps are beyond beautiful! With a pink shade and a rose gold base, it’s too pretty for words. It takes a 4 – watt LED bulb which puts off a soft glow for a relaxing effect.
